suicide tequila.

after trying a few shots of tequila gold at the brechtbau-fest last friday i had decided to buy a bottle of it on my way home today. i put it on the window sill because it's madness to leave any kind of alcohol unattended in the fridge of the common kitchen of some dorm full with crazy students. anyway, a little while later the darn bottle fell off the sill for unknown reasons and naturally broke. did the bottle commit suicide or was it murdered by the evil blinds who collaborated with the mischievous wind because they were jealous of it's nifty little golden hat? who knows...rest in peace. wish i at least had had the opportunity to take a little sip before it broke into smithereens. dammit.

work is the curse of the drinking class.

gaaah! bright light!
the brechtbau-fest last night was pretty much fun! never saw so many drunk people though, some of them were even singing wacky songs for me. lovely. our play (trash hamlet the fifteen minute hamlet) was great and so was thirst, played by some other members of the anglo-irish theatre group. i had to stay there till 5am because i had promised to help cleaning up the rooms. hell yes wiping up puke at 3am is so much fun! i arrived at home at 6am.

the philosopher's beer drinking song.

busy busy times. had no time for updating till tonight, i'm sorry. added some new (sort of chill-out) tracks to my radioblog, enjoy:
x. Patty Moon - Second Winter
the beginning reminds me of the ost of the nightmare before christmas
x.Nelly Furtado - Onde Estás
this one's simply beautiful, esp. when you know the translation of the lyrics ;)
x. Kinobe - Slip Into Something More Comfortable
can't remember where i got this but it's a great chill out-track!
x. Damien Rice - The Blower's Daughter
the opening song of closer. if you haven't seen this movie yet, go and watch it now! it's pretty good.
x. The Soundtrack of Our Lives - Surround Sister
ok, this one's a bit more "lively" than the other tracks. it was running in the background during a scene in ep.02x25 of six feet under, it's quite smashing.

perlen vor die säue.

my weekend was busy because of the comic workshop, drawing sketches here and there. on saturday we all had to choose the stories we'd like to turn into a comic and i chose a story about a girl who strolls at the beach. it was quite difficult to adapt it but i linked it with this idea i had recently and i think it turned out quite well. the collaboration with the writer of the story was quite pleasant and so we worked out how many panels to draw and how to arrange them on which page. all raw sketches are finished by now and i have about a month to draw the 4 pages. going to be stressful because i have my exams next month as well. uhm. anyway, here's one of the first sketches of this comic plus pictures of busy comic artists. ;)

they 're sharing a drink called lonelyness, but its better than drinking alone.

a huge thank you to marc for driving to tübingen and visiting me. we spent the evening at some pub. porter, my precioussss. that made my day.

incidentally, i did my laundry all on my own for the first time today and everything went well. mwaaah i am so proud of myself!

hello, stranger.

i was quite busy during the first two weeks of the new year so it took my a while to add some new entries i'm sorry. however, i'm quite surprised that there are about 10 people per day visiting my weblog so...hi to everyone!

last friday i went to this pub/restaurant called neckarmüller with a couple guys from my anglo-irish theatre group and drank porter. i quite liked it although i usually don't like beer-ish stuff. mäh-määäh-määählancholy. this afternoon we picked out some costumes and props for our fifteen minute hamlet which we're going to perform on the brechtbau-fest on january 28th (just a little reminder here). i am hippie-ophelia! XD unfortunately no pictures of my costume yet though.

holy freaks, i saw a caveman in the bus today! no kidding here, just look at the (sorry, rather bad) picture above. in fact, i was not only amused but also quite amazed by the details of his...clothing. i didn't dare taking another picture though because i was afraid that he'd bash my head with this large club when he'd notice it. o_O

i watched closer yesterday which was some pretty good flick. at the moment, i like listening to the shins, the streets and the soundtrack of our lives. also, i recently watched the most disturbing music clips EVER! two words: aphex twin. you better don't look at the 'picture'-section on their website dude if you don't wanna have nightmares. haha allright, i'm off to bed.

welcome back to reality.

scribbles i made in jap class yesterday. sorry for the bad quality but i have no scanner atm and the pic was so crappy that i couldn't modify it properly. please ignore the two girls on the lower left corner, they're not part of my story, and just look at [1]-[6], thanks.
click in order to see it in full size!

this is actually how i feel when i am lost in thoughts and forget everything around me. like my head's in a huge soap bubble. then -plopp- i wake up again.

i am no ghost, i am just a shell.

didn't got the opportunity to sleep and eat much these days as i was working on my pride&prejudice essay all the time. trying to keep myself alive with lots of coffee. nevertheless, the comic-workshop started yesterday. i was feeling pretty dizzy during our guided tour at the staatsgalerie stuttgart and if you want to know the truth, i didn't like most of the artwork of this funny cuts exhibition. there was nothing really amazing or inspiring for me apart from this video called no ghost just a shell which was rather impressing/interesting.

today we met at the literaturhaus in stuttgart. stefan dinter explained some basic facts about comics to us and afterwards we examined the works of each others. the following pictures show stefan dinter showing us some sketches of his comic called die kleinen mutterficker as well as naomi fearn looking at my artwork on my laptop. ^^;

i wanted to go to the vernissage of naomi fearn's exhibition called dirtfisch vs. zuckergirl but unfortunately had to return to tübingen that evening. :( anyway i already went through the whole exhibition in the afternoon and it is pretty cool! i loved it but that's no big surprise as i'm a huuuge zuckerfisch-fan anyway. nyahaha. no seriously, it's enchanting so if you happen to be in stuttgart during the next few weeks, be sure to take a look at it in the literaturhaus stuttgart. you can find the opening hours on their homepage and it's even for free so, like starsky would say, do it! do it!

leave me now, return tonight.

i love deadlines.
i like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

- douglas adams

spent the last few days working on a new shoebox-collage while listening to the audiobook of jane austen's pride&prejudice. first i thought the book was rather boring but because i had to deal with it so intensely for my essay for the english literature proseminarI i actually started liking it. ok, which girl can actually resist mr darcy's "you must allow me to tell you how ardently i admire and love you"? eh right. ;) *swoons* i even changed my desktop background to some picture of keira knightley in the newest film version of pride&prejudice by joe wright because lizzy rocks.

i recently bought an acrylic colour set, 18 nifty little tubes! bubbles, ermm tubes! tubes! my tubes!! haha seriously i am totally enthusiastic about them! they're so cool and make me feel all...artsy! XD

...and fuck you very much.

spent new year's eve with joana, kay and johnson at joana's place eating a helluva LOT of junk food and watching finding nemo. here are some pictures featuring kay in pink fur, naughty johnson, sexy joana and sparkling me:

on other news, i finally saw the good girl today. jakey-boy as holden caulfield (well, almost)! GASP! enough said...seriously, i think the movie was rather good.
