as you have probably noticed, i've customized the layout of my blog a few days ago. it looks more like a part of comixcat.com now with the chickens and miss scarlett johansson from lost in translation. i've also added some nifty little thing called radio.blog (s. "links"), hope you like the music i upload there - tell me what you think! well, after spending the last few days either sleeping, eating or in front of the tv watching sissi i pulled myself together and went outside today (fresh air! gah!), some shopping with kay and her sister - sooo much fun! <3

i'm in! wow, i never ever thought they would like my work! that made my day! i'm looking forward to the comic-workshop although it's going to be a little stressful since i have to hand in the finished comic on march 1st and my exams are at the end of february. oooh well.

it's funny, everytime the bus driver announces the name of this stop called "winkelwiese" i understand "pinkelwiese" (=piss meadow) and start giggling. yesterday i made a truckload lot muffins for my jap class. tomorrow's the last day before winter break starts and in the evening i am returning to stuttgart. i miss my kittens.

while searching for x-mas presents downtown i saw one of the most obnoxious thongs ever at H&M. honestly, who actually WEARS those things!?? however, buying the new volumes of battle angel alita: last order and god child cheered me up.

it snowed today! when some student was building snowman-ish things in front of my window i had to think of the calvin&hobbes comic strips ("attack of the deranged mutant killer monster snow goons!!") and how i'd like to play outside and then afterwards sitting in my cosy warm room, drinking some hot chocolate with a helluva lot of tiny marshmellows in it. however, i was too lazy to get outside at all. i made some apple-cinnamon-walnut-pie and (instead of studying) listened to "in the waiting line" by zero seven on infinite loop the whole afternoon while lying on my bed, staring at the wall. i feel strange these days.

my mate michael gave me the dresden dolls album today, i quite like their music and listen to it constantly while working on the portfolio for that comic-workshop in january in stuttgart. i doubt they'll take me since my style is way too sketchy but hey, at least i can say that i've tried. le sigh.

i watched the boondock saints last night and bang bang, it just rocked my socks. highly recommendable.

(pre-)x-mas-party at fiwe 3.

this evening we had this little (pre-)x-mas party. everybody brought some food, we drank glühwein and took lots of pictures. here's me with eric, panos, lawrie and lawrie with thibault.



also, we'd drawn names last week so everybody got some little present: audrey with the heart-shaped taschenwärmer i gave her, eric with his shiny new shirt from panos as well as that beautiful hand lantern i got from lionel and sabine with her new hat from lawrie.

the weekend in munich was so much fun!
we listened to crazy music like christmas swing (vixen!!) and the mary poppins soundtrack (chim chim che-ree~) while driving to munich and arrived there nutty as a fruitcake. since it already was late, we only met with kay at the main station, checked in at our youth hostel (the euro youth hostel, very recommendable!) and went to some friend where we ate sushi, yum-yum! とても　おいしい　でした。


the next morning we went shopping (poor johnson! alone with three mad girls!) and just walked around downtown. munich is quite nice but it was freezin cold that's why we bought johnson some mittens, spacy. in the evening we tried to dye his hair "schokobraun" but it didn't turn out that well so we got drunk on apfelsaftschorle and explored munich's nightlife which was fun although i can't quite remember everything apart from things like eating junk food at mcdonald's ("ich hätte gern ein unglaubliches menü!") and the very short visit of a bar called "tiefenrausch".


on sunday, the three of us visited the pinakothek der moderne (some art museum) but to tell you the truth, i didn't like the art there. it was frustrating in a way because most of the pieces were so uninspiring. after lunch we went back to good old stuttgart. the end.

i finally got my shiny new digicam yesterday! i still couldn't decide on how to name her (perhaps "tori") so if you can think of any cool names for a sexay sony cybershot dsc-w1, let me know kittens. also, i couldn't decide which picture to take first (i am insane, i know). lawrie suggested to take a picture of my feet, "like all the artsy fuck girls do". hahahagh. it reminded me of lost in translation so i did, here you go:

apart from that this week passed by way too rapidly. crazy things happened and i still have a cold, trying to keep myself alive by drinking at least a dozen cups of tea a day. joana, johnson and me are going to visit my darling kay this weekend in munich - yay!

i spent the weekend in stuttgart again, helping my darling joana setting up some ikea furniture for her new apartment. we both also went to the weihnachtsmarkt ("christmas fair", whatever), drank glühwein and met lots of old friends, twas crazy! i bought myself a new maunzerle and some mini marshmallows.

by the way, there was an earthquake here a few minutes ago! i was sitting in my bed when suddenly everything started shaking and then it became even stronger, it was pretty spooky and i started shivering like hell. i never thought i'd ever experience an earthquake in germany!

definitively NO fun: stumbling on the stairs with a bowl full to the brim with cornflakes and milk on the way from the kitchen to your room.
